THE YOUTH UNION OF

FACULTY OF PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING PHYSICS

       The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is a socio-political organization of Vietnamese youth, founded, led and trained by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The Youth Union is a Socialist School for young people, creating an environment to engage young people in activities that help them learn, practice and develop their personalities and abilities. Under the Youth Union of University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City,  Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics was established to accompany, help, and create an environment for students in the school in general and students in general. Faculty in particular can study, practice, have fun and develop their own abilities, staying away from the negative impacts of the external social environment that can negatively affect students.

     Based on responsibilities and tasks, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics promotes learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, ideological and political education through activities, Competitions are organized by the Faculty's Youth Union, in addition, it continues to promote youth volunteer movements, creative youth, and proactive youth to protect the country through volunteer activities organized in the faculty. Prevent and promptly warn about negative things that can affect the learning, training, and playing process of students through orientation, propaganda activities, etc.

    With the organization's orientation to not only be a leader, but also a friend, in addition to sharing and supporting students throughout the learning and training process through academic activities such as the Challenging academic competition with Poseidon, coordinate with the Faculty Students'Association to organize the faculty's academic competition, the BigBang academic competition, along with introducing you to participate in the activities and competitions of your faculty, so that students can access a more diverse range of necessary knowledge and skills.

      Along with the above functions and tasks, The Youth Union is also a bridge between the students in the faculty and the Faculty Board to be able to inform, propose, and convey instructions to the students. , and support the Faculty Board of Directors to organize activities such as Faculty traditional festivals, cultural and artistic activities... so that students have the opportunity to learn about the faculty, industry, and school...

Amid the vibrant emulation spirit of the youth of the University of Science, VNU-HCM, the Delegate Conference of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics for the 2025–2027 term, phase 2025–2026, was successfully convened. This event marks a significant milestone, symbolizing generational transition and opening a promising new chapter for Youth Union activities and youth movements of the Faculty in the 2025–2026 period.

1. Continuity and the Advancement of Tradition

After a term marked by numerous changes and challenges, the Youth Union of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics has reaffirmed its resilience and strong tradition. Carrying forward this enduring spirit of enthusiasm, the Conference for the 2025–2027 term elected a new Executive Committee comprising nine members.

These outstanding individuals represent the intellect, dynamism, and aspiration for contribution of more than 1,800 Youth Union members and young people within the Faculty. The newly elected Executive Committee not only demonstrates firm political awareness and integrity, but also embodies innovative and creative thinking, with a strong commitment to serving the community.

2. Key Action Priorities for the 2025–2026 Phase

Entering the first phase of the new term (2025–2026), guided by the action motto “Pioneering – Resilient – Creative – Integrative,” the Youth Union of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics has identified the following strategic priorities:

- Promoting academic excellence and scientific research: Building a rigorous academic environment, strengthening connections between students and laboratories as well as applied research projects, and maximizing the strengths of Physics students in the digital era, particularly in semiconductor and microchip technologies.

- Digital transformation in Youth Union operations: Optimizing member management processes, applying technology in communication and educational activities, and bringing Youth Union initiatives closer to Generation Z.

- Developing social and practical skills: Organizing platforms to enhance soft skills, foreign language proficiency, and international integration, while fostering the Faculty’s student identity: “Strong in expertise – Solid in skills – Exemplary in character.”

- Youth engagement for the community: Continuing to sustain and enhance the quality of volunteer campaigns such as Green Summer, Voluntary Spring, and Blood Donation drives, thereby affirming the social responsibility of young people.

“The new academic year is not merely a change in personnel, but a strong transformation in mindset and action. We are committed to being a trusted companion and a solid bridge, enabling every Youth Union member and student of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics to shine and achieve comprehensive development,” shared Trần Gia Hảo, Deputy Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union, on behalf of the Executive Committee for the 2025–2027 term, phase 2025–2026.

3. Expectations and a Commitment to Action

Assuming responsibilities in a new context filled with both opportunities and challenges, the Executive Committee of the Faculty Youth Union for the 2025–2027 term fully recognizes the significance of its entrusted mission. Upholding the spirit of “Wherever there is a need, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will take on,” the young generation of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics is determined to unite, translate the Conference Resolution into concrete and practical actions, and move forward with determination.

With youthfulness, intellect, and enthusiasm, there is strong confidence that the Faculty Youth Union will continue to achieve new successes, further enriching the proud traditions of the Faculty and the University.
