Welcome to the Physics & Engineering Physics Faculty

The Physics & Engineering Physics Faculty consists of eight departments: Solid State Physics, Physics and Electronic Engineering, Nuclear Physics – Nuclear Engineering – Medical Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics and Computer Science, Geophysics, Applied Physics, and Oceanology, Meteorology and Hydrology.

The Faculty has more than 95 lecturers, including 50 PhDs (1 Professors, 9 Associate Professors) and 34 Masters.

Our Facility is equipped with 14 laboratories in which 3 are used for general physics courses to students of the VNU-University of Science, 1 computer room for our Physics students, and 9 specialized ones for both teaching and scientific research.

Faculty offers three levels: Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate. Currently, nearly 1000 undergraduate students, 100 Master students and 15 PhD students are studying in our faculty. In average each year, 200 Bachelors, 60 Masters, and 10 PhDs fulfill their programs.

Most of the staffs are participated in scientific research activities such as, basic scientific research, ministry and university levels, and other agencies’ programs. Many articles are published in high standard national and international journals.

The Faculty has signed official cooperation agreements with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Italy) and the Graduate School, Osaka University (Japan) and has good connection with the University of Liège (Belgium), the University Swinburne of Technology (Centre for Atom Optics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy, Australia), University of Saskatchewan (Canada), Chungbuk National University (Korea), Sungkyunkwan University (Korea). Also, the Faculty has close relationships with Institutes, Scientific Research Centers, and domestic manufacturing companies. Currently, 21 young staffs are studying and researching in France, Australia, Japan, Korea, etc.
