Overview
The Trade Union of the University of Science was officially established in 1996 following the separation of the University of Sciences from the University of Ho Chi Minh City, per Decision 1326/GDĐT issued on March 30, 1996, by the Ministry of Education and Training. It serves as the representative body for staff members, playing an active role in planning and implementing development programs, management mechanisms, and policies related to the rights and benefits of staff within the university.
The trade union works in collaboration with the administration to ensure the well-being of staff members, addressing complaints, and monitoring the implementation of labor policies and legal rights.

Key Activities and Contributions
Union and Collective Activities
Faculty members actively participate in teaching, research, and other assigned responsibilities, including trade union and party activities. They strictly adhere to government policies and regulations. Recent highlights include:

Successfully admitting four new party members over the past year.

Advocating for staff welfare, including support for emergencies and special cases.

Organizing regular visits and celebrations for retired faculty during Teachers' Day and Lunar New Year.
Union members also engage in various social campaigns, uphold principles of transparency and fairness, and foster a collaborative environment.
Cultural and Sports Initiatives (2023-2024)

Engagement in sports and arts to celebrate national holidays, fostering morale and unity.

Lunar New Year celebrations: Organized a grand gathering with over 170 attendees, including staff, retirees, and alumni.

Hosted the 11th Annual Lunar New Year Football Tournament, with four teams competing in a festive atmosphere.

Coordinated the Traditional Day of the Faculty of Physics on May 7, 2023.

Support for Female Members
With 34 female union members, accounting for 41% of the faculty, these individuals excel in both professional and personal domains. The union fosters a strong support network among female staff, encouraging mutual assistance and collaboration.
Party Development Initiatives
The union identifies and nurtures promising members for party admission. The current union chairperson, also serving as the deputy secretary of the party cell, has successfully facilitated the induction of four new party members in late 2023 and early 2024.
