2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
Earth Science introduces comprehensive knowledge about the Earth, including its spheres, interior, and exterior. The course covers: the Earth's position and movement in space; the composition and structure of the atmosphere, winds, weather, climate, and climate change; the distribution of freshwater in the hydrosphere, the operation of oceans and seas, and the El Niño-La Niña phenomena; the geosphere; the composition and structure of the Earth's crust, weathering, erosion, accumulation, landslides, the Earth's interior structure, earthquakes, volcanoes, and plate tectonics; and the exploration of Earth's history through the study of fossils. Earth Science knowledge is essential for understanding the natural environment of our planet.
