2. Brief description of the modules

This course provides knowledge related to statistical methods for data evaluation, including concepts of statistical distributions, methods for estimating mean values and standard deviations, testing the validity of a statistical hypothesis, the Monte Carlo method, the maximum likelihood method for parameter estimation in problem-solving, methods for fitting experimental data, regression and correlation analysis, and methods for analyzing event sequences over time. The course equips students with techniques for evaluating data in radiation detection.
