2. Brief description of the modules
This subject includes basic knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology of radiation absorption. Effects of radiation on living organisms, such as cell and DNA damage. Recovery of damage, genetic effects. Methods for handling radiation accidents, applications in radiotherapy, radiation safety protection. Calculation of safe radiation doses in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology and nuclear medicine as well as in radiotherapy planning.
