2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
This course provides a foundational understanding of calculus for students majoring in Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Physics, Oceanography, Meteorology, and Materials Science. It equips students with the mathematical tools necessary for advanced courses in their respective fields. Students will acquire knowledge of the real number system, sequences and series, continuity, limits, derivatives, and Riemann integrals of real-valued functions of a single variable, as well as differential equations. They will also learn to apply MATLAB for calculus computations.
