2. Brief description of the modules
This module will provide students with knowledge of various principles and methods of radioactive waste management including characterization, classification of radioactive waste, handling, packaging, transportation and storage, and radioactive waste treatment technologies. The course will also provide knowledge of principles and regulations for decommissioning nuclear facilities, especially nuclear reactors.
