2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
This course provides interdisciplinary knowledge of geography and the hydrodynamic processes in coastal and adjacent marine environments. It integrates comprehensive insights into physical geography and coastal hydro-morphodynamic processes, highlighting the influence of both natural forces and human activities on these environments. In particular, human-induced factors are closely linked to changes in the natural conditions of coastal and adjacent marine areas. Additionally, key hydrodynamic processes such as water level fluctuations, tides, waves and wave-induced processes, currents, and coastal sediment transport are introduced, analyzed, and discussed through practical, application-oriented exercises included in the course.
