2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
This course introduces students to fundamental machine learning methods, including algorithms, techniques, and implementations. The core topics covered include supervised and unsupervised learning, decision functions for pattern classification, statistical learning for classification problems, reinforcement learning, artificial neural networks, local learning methods, and ensemble learning techniques.
Based on these foundations, students will be able to design learning systems and conduct in-depth research on specific machine learning problems.
