2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
The course provides basic knowledge about Raman spectroscopy and the theory of Raman signal amplification from surface plasmon resonance effects. Students will practice making SERS substrates based on semiconductor nanomaterials combined with noble metal nanoparticles. From the SERS substrates, students will practice measuring Raman signals of organic or biological substances.
