2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
This course provides students with a fundamental understanding of different types of motion, the laws of motion for particles and other objects, and the principles of thermodynamics. Students will learn to apply the laws of conservation in mechanics and understand the ideal gas law, the first and second laws of thermodynamics. The course also builds a foundation for students majoring in Physics, Oceanography, Nuclear Engineering, and other sciences, preparing them for more advanced courses in subsequent years. Furthermore, students will develop basic problem-solving skills applicable to both scientific and real-world scenarios.
