2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
This laboratory course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in experimental physics. Students will learn about experimental errors, the difference between density and specific gravity, the viscosity of fluids, the measurement of gravitational acceleration using a reversible pendulum, the dispersion of light, the measurement of latent heat and specific heat capacity of metals, and the construction of voltmeters and ammeters. Students will develop skills in experimental techniques, the use of measurement instruments, data analysis, and scientific report writing. Working in small groups of 2-3, students will also learn to collaborate and communicate effectively.
