2. Brief description of the modules

Borehole geophysics plays a crucial role in the exploration and exploitation of natural resources, as well as environmental investigations. This course equips students with knowledge of borehole geophysical methods such as resistivity, spontaneous potential, radioactivity, acoustic, and borehole conditions to study the composition of materials, rock properties along the borehole wall, and to construct geological cross-sections and correlate stratigraphic units for the purpose of clarifying geological structures and resource reserves.
