- Brief description of the modules
This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of transformation techniques, calculations, and inverse theory in Geophysics. Field transformations in various spatial domains will be discussed. The characteristic multi-solution problem in Geophysics will be approached through both classical examples and modern solutions. A multi-faceted approach to addressing the multi-solution problem is illustrated by the combination, support, and contrast of different geophysical methods. Probabilistic and statistical methods for big data analysis will be introduced and presented as crucial applications to address the multi-solution problem. Therefore, this course on geophysical inversion theory will provide students with a comprehensive overview of effective approaches to solving geophysical problems.
