2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes
In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of quantum computing. It serves as a practical application of quantum mechanics courses.
Students will learn the theoretical foundations of quantum computing, including Hilbert space, qubits, quantum gates, and quantum algorithms. Additionally, they will gain hands-on experience with Qiskit, a quantum computing framework written in Python.
The course consists of theoretical lectures, quantum computing exercises, and practical programming sessions using Python.
