2. Brief description of the modules
This course is designed to provide students with knowledge in designing and developing embedded systems deployed on the Internet of Things (IoT) platform. Students will gain a solid understanding of the hardware and software architecture of embedded systems, the operational model of an IoT system, key characteristics of IoT applications, and essential skills for developing IoT solutions.
The course covers embedded system design and programming on the NodeMCU development board using the ESP8266 WiFi chip, in combination with commonly used sensors (both analog and digital), peripheral devices, and actuators. Students will build automated monitoring and remote control applications via mobile devices based on IoT platforms.
Throughout the course, students will be guided to implement an IoT system through group projects, with an emphasis on real-world application.
