    1. Brief description of the modules

This course introduces fundamental logic functions, components, and methods used to design digital systems. Digital electronics topics will include basic logic gates, Boolean algebra, number systems, combinational logic circuits, multiplexers, decoders, flip-flops, and registers. Applications of digital systems will consist of counters, magnitude comparators, ADC and DAC converters, feedback control, sensor interfacing, and signal conditioning. Students will be required to work in groups to propose ideas, complete course projects, and give group presentations.
