    1. Brief description of the modules

This course equips undergraduate students with fundamental knowledge to solve and evaluate theoretical and practical problems computationally. It involves (i) modeling problems through equations or formulas that capture the essential features of the problem, (ii) simulating these models on computers using appropriate algorithms, and (iii) visualizing, analyzing, and interpreting the results. This course combines subject-specific knowledge with mathematical and programming techniques..

The course is divided into three parts. The first part provides fundamental knowledge for constructing models of dynamical systems and mathematical methods for solving these models. The second part covers programming skills, with a focus on MATLAB, a widely used software for engineering problems. The third part applies these models and simulations to several typical case studies.
