The course gives students an overview of development, sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), together with the current situation, opportunities, challenges and some solutions for meeting those goals. It also develops the basic skills students need to search for, select, organise and share knowledge and information on scientific and social issues, so that they can apply what they learn to form opinions, judgements and decisions oriented towards sustainable development.
