The course “Advanced Packaging Technology” builds on the disciplinary course “Semiconductor Packaging Technology” and gives students advanced knowledge of semiconductor device packaging. Packaging technologies are covered in advanced detail, including chip LED packaging, semiconductor laser packaging, solar-cell packaging, integrated-circuit packaging and thermoelectric device packaging. Besides packaging at the component level, packaging at the system level is also introduced in this course.
