- Brief course description:
This course is a general introduction to research and development methods, including how to search for, read, analyse and synthesise literature. Students then independently investigate, write and present a topic requiring research and development in a seminar on a specific subject.
Students take the course in two parts: in the first, all students study research and development methods together; in the second, each student is assigned a specific topic and gives a seminar on it under the guidance of a supervisor. Reference material is normally in English, so as to strengthen students' specialist English.
The course introduces:
