2. Module objectives/intended learning outcomes

This course equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to design System-on-Chip (SoC) systems on FPGA platforms. Students will use Intel Quartus II and Qsys (Platform Designer) to integrate hardware and software components for deployment on SoC-based systems.

The course enables students to understand and apply the complete SoC design workflow, including system design, synthesis, programming, and testing on the DE10-Standard development board. Students will also work in teams to design, implement, and present a complete SoC system project, providing hands-on experience in SoC development and system-level design.
