On July 31, 2025, final-year students of the Oceanography program officially took part in their graduation thesis defense, marking a significant milestone in their academic and research journey. This event was not only an opportunity to reflect on four years of persistent study, but also a chance for students to demonstrate their professional knowledge, research mindset, and scientific maturity before an academic panel.
The evaluation committee highly appreciated the students’ thorough preparation, critical thinking, and clear, coherent presentations. Notably, many theses showed strong potential for further development into in-depth research projects. The defense marked not just the end of their undergraduate studies, but also the beginning of each student's professional path. With the solid foundation of specialized knowledge they have acquired, these young oceanographers are expected to make meaningful contributions to a vital scientific field - especially at a time when climate change, marine pollution, and resource security are urgent global concerns.
Congratulations to all Oceanography students of Cohort 2021 on successfully completing your thesis defense. May you continue to pursue your passion, keep learning, and rise with strength and confidence on your journey into the vast and ever-evolving world of science.
