Master Thesis Defense Session in Engineering Physics

MASTER THESIS DEFENSE SESSION IN ENGINEERING PHYSICS

On August 29, 2024, the Faculty of Physics - Engineering Physics solemnly organized the graduation thesis defense of the Master's program in Technical Physics. After years of diligent study and research, you have successfully completed and defended your thesis under the guidance of Associate Professor, PhD. Huynh Van Tuan, Dean of the Faculty of Physics - Technical Physics, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Congratulations to the students who successfully defended their theses:

- Bui Tien Hoa with the topic "Controlling robot arms with brain waves supported by artificial intelligence"

- Huynh Thien Khoi with the topic "Solving the Rubik's cube with deep learning algorithms"

- Nguyen Thi Le Thuy with the topic "Classifying hand movements based on electromyographic signals using machine learning methods"

The master's program in Engineering Physics intersects many interdisciplinary fields of knowledge: Physics, Electromagnetics, Information Technology and Mathematics. The program helps learners improve their qualifications by updating and supplementing basic and interdisciplinary scientific knowledge to meet the increasing demands of the knowledge base of the 21st century, and it is being considered a major learning of future knowledge.

Research directions:

- Medical image processing

- Classify and identify electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), electrocardiogram (ECG) signals

- Artificial intelligence, neural networks, deep learning algorithms, machine learning.

- Noise control (ANC), echo (AEC), audio interference.

- Data collection, sensing, measurement and control, display

- Solutions for building smart systems, internet of things (IoT).
