The Office of International Relations sends information about the ASEAN in Today's World (AsTW) 2025 Program in Indonesia. Information about the program is as follows:
1. General information about the program:
The AsTW Program was established in 2009 by the International Student Center (ISC) of Kyushu University. AsTW is a short-term study abroad program focusing on the ASEAN region. The main objective of the program is to develop competent human resources who can act as future ambassadors of Asia and actively participate in global issues. In response to the need for individuals who can act as bridges between Asia and the world, ISC has shaped and implemented this program.
By 2025, 06 prestigious universities in ASEAN and Japan – University of Malaya, Mahidol University, Ateneo de Manila University, Hanoi National University, Fukuoka Women's University and Kyushu University – have joined the program. The program is also supported by the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN University Network (AUN).
2. Program details:
– Time: From February 17, 2025 to July 27, 2025.
– Location: Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta City, Indonesia.

– Criteria for students to participate:
- Over 18 years old.
- Have good academic performance (at least 3.0/4.0 cumulative average or B or 7.5/10).
- Be proficient in academic English.
- After the AsTW program ends, students will continue to study at the university where they were studying before the program.
– Program costs:
- Application fee: JPY 135,000.
- Tuition fee: JPY 44,400.
– Student benefits:
- Students are awarded 3 credits from the AsTW program.
- Students study in classes under the AsTW program.
- Accommodation and domestic transportation within the framework of the program are included in the application fee.
- Students visit NGOs and famous landmarks relevant to the program content.
– Important timelines:
- Application deadline: From September 10, 2024 to November 10, 2024.
- Selection process: From November 11, 2024 to November 20, 2024.
- Result announcement: December 12, 2024.
