The Office of International Relations is pleased to provide the following information regarding the DiscoverNUS Program at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
1. Duration: One semester, from August 2025 to December 2025.
2. Number of Students: 2 students.
3. Location: NUS, Singapore.
4. Benefits:
- Students will be exempt from tuition fees for the program at NUS and will receive partial support for accommodation costs based on their financial circumstances. (Applicants who require accommodation support on the basis of financial need must contact NUS directly for further guidance.) All other expenses will be borne by the students. Detailed information regarding accommodation costs is available at: https://osa.nus.edu.sg/accommodation/hostel-options/.
- After participating in the DiscoverNUS Program, students in their final year of undergraduate study may apply for the one-year NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship Programme at NUS.
5. Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be in their final year or penultimate year while on exchange at NUS, with a preference given to penultimate year students.
- Applicants should have an academic major that aligns with the field of study they intend to pursue at NUS.
- Applicants must have an outstanding academic record at both the high school and university levels.
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and community service is required.
- Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential.
- Preference will be given to those with strong English proficiency (minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 85).
- Applicants should have an interest in pursuing a master’s program at NUS after completing the DiscoverNUS Program.
- A commitment to fully participate in the program is required.

7. Application Documents:
- One English CV in PDF format (file size less than 3MB) that includes the following information:

Educational background: Name of high school with the average score; name of university with the current GPA.

Work experience, leadership, and volunteer experience.

Extracurricular activities (e.g., club participation, sports, etc.).

Academic awards or scholarships received in high school or at university (if any).

English proficiency details (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS).

Any other relevant information (e.g., additional languages, special talents, etc.) if applicable.

- One student information form (sample attached).
- One recent Vietnamese transcript (issued within 30 days prior to August 20, 2024) certified by the educational institution.
- One copy of the passport’s personal information page (no notarization required).
- One copy of the English proficiency certificate (no notarization required).
- Evidence of participation in extracurricular activities and community service.
- Certificates or letters of commendation for academic achievements (if available).
8. Application Process:
- Applicants should submit a soft copy of their application via email to internationalrelations@hcmus.edu.vn by March 1, 2025, and send a hard copy to The Office of International Relations (F.105, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, Ward 4, District 5) within 2 days after the email submission deadline.
- The Office of International Relations will nominate the applications to VNU-HCM.
- VNU-HCM will review the applications and nominate candidates to NUS.
- VNU-HCM will notify the respective parties once the results are received from NUS.
- Selected students will complete the registration process and select their courses via the following link: https://myapplications.nus.edu.sg.
- Students will receive an official admission letter from NUS and will proceed with accommodation and student visa registration.
- Students will then arrive at NUS, activate their student ID, and begin the program in August 2025.
