The Office of External Relations would like to share information from VNU-HCM regarding the NUS Young Fellowship Programme 2025 hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS). The program details are as follows:
1. Program overview:
The program offers students the opportunity to study and experience NUS’s research-focused educational environment. It includes:
- A one-week in-person immersion at NUS.
- Four weeks of online group collaboration.
- One final online presentation session.
The 2025 program theme focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and PhD Research.
2. Format, location, and schedule:
- In-person at NUS, Singapore: June 23–27, 2025.
- Online: Four weeks following the in-person session.
3. Scholarship benefits:
- SGD 600 (awarded upon program completion).
- Free on-campus accommodation at NUS.
- Coverage of all program-related learning expenses.
4. Number of available slots: 01 student
5. Eligibility criteria:
- Full-time undergraduate students in:
Year 3 (for 4-year programs), or
Year 4 (for 5-year programs), or
Year 5 (for 6-year programs), in any major.
- Outstanding academic performance.
- Preference for candidates with notable extracurricular achievements.
- Preference for candidates with strong English proficiency.
6. Application documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English (PDF format), including:
Academic qualifications with the latest GPA.
Work, leadership, and volunteer experiences.
Extracurricular activities (e.g., clubs, sports).
Academic awards, scholarships, and achievements (if any).
English proficiency certifications (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS) (if available).
Other relevant details (e.g., additional languages, special talents).
- Essay in English (max. 1,000 words) on one of the following topics:
A research area of interest, including future development predictions.
A social issue or personal concern, along with proposed solutions.
- Student information form (attached template).
- Passport-sized photo (digital file).
- Bilingual academic transcript (Vietnamese and English, certified by the home institution).
- Copy of English proficiency certificate (notarization not required).
- Proof of extracurricular achievements (if any).
- Copies of academic awards/certificates (if any).
- Priority given to students with two (02) recommendation letters from faculty members, highlighting the student’s research potential.
7. Application process:
- Applicants must submit their applications:
In-person: To the Office of External Relations (Room F.105, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, Ward 4, District 5).
Via email: Send the digital version to internationalrelations@hcmus.edu.vn by February 25, 2025.
- The Office of External Relations will nominate applications to VNU-HCM.
- VNU-HCM will review applications and nominate candidates to NUS by March 5, 2025, while informing relevant units.
- Upon receiving confirmation of nomination, the Department of International Relations & Project Development will guide nominated students to complete the online application process on the NUS portal by March 5, 2025.
- NUS will review the final applications and announce the results to VNU-HCM and the selected students.
