Information on the Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 Exchange Program and the Global Young Leaders Program at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)

1. Exchange Program:

- Application deadline to HCMUS International Relations Office By 12:00 PM, March 27, 2025

+ Hard copies should be sent to P.QHĐN (F.105, 227 Nguyễn Văn Cừ, Ward 4, District 5).

+ Soft copies should be sent via email to internationalrelations@hcmus.edu.vn.

- Application deadline to POSTECH: March 31 – April 18, 2025

- Admission notification: May 2025

- Programs related to Computer Science will select only one candidate.

- Required application documents (in English):

+ Proof of student status;

+ A scanned copy of a valid passport;

+ Recommendation letter from the Faculty;

+ Academic transcript;

+ Proof of English proficiency;

+ For applicants from non-OECD countries:

    • Certified copy of proof of student status;

    • Financial statement.

2. Global Young Leaders Program (GYLP):

GYLP is a fully-funded exchange program for one academic year, sponsored by POSCO & POSTECH, offered to outstanding students with excellent academic performance.

  • Duration: One academic year (10 months, September 2025 – June 2026)

  • Eligibility:

    • 2nd or 3rd-year undergraduate students;

    • Minimum GPA: 3.3/4.3;

    • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 90 / IELTS Academic 6.5 / Duolingo 120.

Program Benefits:

  • Round-trip airfare;

  • Visa & travel allowance: 500,000 KRW (~350 USD) one-time;

  • Living expenses: 1,000,000 KRW (~750 USD) per month;

  • Cultural exploration trips: Seoul Heritage Exploration, Jeju ESG Discovery, etc.

Program Requirements:

  • Enroll in at least 6 credits per semester;

  • Complete a Korean language course each semester, including the pre-summer course;

  • Participate in scientific research activities during winter break;

  • Actively engage in GYLP cultural exploration activities and alumni networking.
