Recently, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM-UScience), successfully organized the seminar “Sharing Experiences on Career Opportunities After Graduation 2026”, providing students—especially final-year students—with practical insights and valuable perspectives on career development pathways after graduation.
In the context of an ever-evolving labor market and increasingly demanding requirements for both professional expertise and career-related skills, the seminar was designed to support students in proactively preparing for their future, clarifying their personal development pathways, and enhancing their adaptability to professional working environments.
During the seminar, students had the opportunity to stay updated on emerging career trends, gain a better understanding of workforce demands across various professional fields, and learn practical experiences in building effective job application profiles, preparing for interviews, and developing career pathways aligned with their individual strengths and capabilities.
One of the key highlights of the seminar was the sharing session by alumni currently working in diverse professional sectors, who brought practical stories and valuable experiences from their journeys in academic study, entrepreneurship, research, and career development.
The seminar featured the participation of distinguished alumni speakers:
- Mr. Pham Thanh Phong – an alumnus of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Sai Gon Automation Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (SAETECH). As a member of the Faculty’s Alumni Representative Board, he has actively contributed to strengthening alumni connections while supporting students in internship opportunities and practical experiences in the fields of electrical engineering and automation.
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung – an alumna of the Oceanography program, currently working as the Business Manager for Water & Wastewater at KROHNE Vietnam, part of KROHNE Group (Germany) - one of the world’s leading companies in industrial process measurement equipment and solutions.
- Ms. Le Thi Hien My – an alumna of the Medical Physics program, Class of 2021, who is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Taiwan under a full scholarship. She represents an outstanding example of continuing academic advancement and professional development in an international environment.
Through the authentic, multidimensional, and experience-rich sharing sessions, students gained clearer insights into the labor market, career opportunities in each specialized field, and the skills and preparation needed to confidently transition from university life to the professional workplace.
The seminar not only served as a bridge connecting students and alumni but also represented a meaningful initiative to strengthen the connection between academic training and the practical demands of the labor market. Through this activity, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics continues to affirm its commitment to practice-oriented education, accompanying students in developing their competencies, shaping their career orientations, and preparing for their future.
The Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics sincerely extends its gratitude to the speakers for their valuable time and contributions to the program. The Faculty believes that the insights and experiences shared during the seminar will serve as an important source of inspiration and motivation for students as they confidently move forward on their career journeys.
