In an effort to promote collective endeavors in ocean research and sustainable development, the Department of Oceanography, Meteorology, and Hydrology is honored to organize the Scientific Conference on “Marine Science and Sustainable Development.”
This important academic event serves as a forum for scientists, lecturers, students, and guests to exchange ideas and share the latest research findings in the fields of oceanography, climate change, marine resources, and the marine environment.
The conference aims to foster discussions and identify innovative scientific and technological solutions for the management, exploitation, and conservation of marine resources in a sustainable manner - contributing to the vision of “A Blue Ocean for the Future.”
Notably, this year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the Oceanography training program, a proud milestone of the Department of Oceanography, Meteorology, and Hydrology, Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Science – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). This occasion celebrates two decades of continuous efforts by generations of lecturers, students, and alumni in education, research, and contributions to the advancement of marine science in Vietnam.
Through this conference, the Organizing Committee seeks to build stronger connections among academic institutions, researchers, and students - fostering learning, collaboration, and innovation in marine science research, a field that plays an increasingly vital role in the nation’s sustainable development strategy.
