In the context where quantum technology is emerging as one of the key frontier fields shaping global scientific and technological trends, the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics is organizing the International Workshop on Quantum Science and Technology 2026.
The workshop aims to provide an updated overview of current research directions in quantum science and technology in Vietnam and the region, covering theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches. The event also serves as an academic platform to strengthen collaboration among scientists and research institutions both domestically and internationally, while contributing to the orientation of research and training in the field of quantum science and technology.

2. Main Topics
- Presentation of recent research results on quantum effects in low-dimensional materials, including the Kondo effect and the spin Hall effect.
- Computational studies and simulations of materials at the quantum scale, with potential applications in energy and environmental technologies.
- Development of quantum optimization algorithms and quantum machine learning methods.
- Theoretical and experimental advances in quantum optics.
3. Speakers
The workshop will feature scientists from various research institutes and universities in Vietnam and abroad, including the Institute of Physics – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, The University of Hong Kong, Phenikaa University, National University of Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

- Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh, Senior Researcher, Institute of Physics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Recipient of the Ta Quang Buu Prize in Physics 2024.
