On September 24, 2026, the Department of Oceanography, Meteorology and Hydrology, Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Science, VNU-HCM, hosted an academic exchange and postgraduate admissions interview with National Central University (NCU), Taiwan.
The event provided faculty members and students from the Oceanography program with an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into an international academic and research environment, while learning more about postgraduate programs, scholarship opportunities, and academic and professional development pathways at NCU.

Academic Exchange and Postgraduate Orientation
During the event, Prof. Chuen-Fa Ni and PhD student Nguyen Thai Vinh Truong shared valuable insights into NCU’s academic and research environment, postgraduate programs, scholarship opportunities, and opportunities for international students.
Students from the Oceanography program had the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from NCU, raise questions, and discuss potential study and research pathways aligned with their academic interests and career goals. These exchanges provided students with practical information to support their future postgraduate planning.

Connecting Students with International Research Opportunities
A key highlight of the event was the on-site postgraduate admissions interviews conducted by Prof. Chuen-Fa Ni for students interested in pursuing postgraduate studies at NCU in the upcoming admission cycle.
The interviews provided students with an opportunity to establish initial connections with international research groups, explore potential research directions, and learn more about postgraduate study opportunities in Taiwan. The activity also served as a meaningful bridge between undergraduate education and international academic development.

Strengthening International Education and Research Collaboration
The event further strengthened academic connections between the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics and National Central University, while creating opportunities for future collaboration in postgraduate education, scientific research, and international student exchange.
As part of the Faculty’s commitment to internationalization and global academic engagement, activities of this kind provide students with greater access to advanced educational opportunities, international academic networks, and pathways toward further study and research in an international environment.
