The 19th BigBang Academic Competition – 2026 concluded with an exciting Grand Final featuring four outstanding teams. The competition provided a dynamic academic platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge, problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and teamwork.
The Grand Final was attended by Assoc. Prof. Lam Quang Vinh, Head of the Department of Science and Technology, VNUHCM, and Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Physics Association; Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh, Principal of VNU-HCM High School for the Gifted; and Assoc. Prof. Huynh Van Tuan, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, VNUHCM–University of Science, together with members of the Jury, faculty members, parents, and a large number of students and supporters.
A High-Level Academic Competition
The Grand Final brought together a strong group of participants with impressive academic achievements. Notably, two contestants had previously won Gold Medals at international and regional Physics Olympiad competitions, alongside numerous students who had achieved outstanding results in national and city-level academic competitions.
Their participation contributed to a highly competitive yet constructive academic environment, highlighting the appeal of BigBang as a platform for knowledge exchange, intellectual challenge, and the development of scientific competencies among students.
Challenging Rounds and Exciting Competition
The four finalist teams competed across four challenging rounds: “Extreme Deflection,” “Horsepower Turbulence,” “Parallel Illusions,” and “Particle Accelerator.”
The rounds required contestants to apply their knowledge, logical reasoning, quick decision-making, and strategic thinking. Closely contested scores throughout the competition created an engaging and intellectually stimulating Grand Final.
In addition to the team competition, audience interaction and knowledge-based activities contributed to the lively atmosphere of the event, encouraging broader engagement with the academic competition.
