The Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics, University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, has officially been awarded international quality accreditation by ASIIN for three academic programs: Nuclear Engineering, Medical Physics, and Electronic Physics Technology & Informatics.
With this achievement, the Faculty now has 5 out of 6 academic programs accredited by ASIIN, a strong testament to its continuous efforts in:
- Innovating curricula in alignment with international standards.
- Developing faculty capacity and enhancing student support services.
- Improving infrastructure and expanding academic resources.
- Promoting international collaboration and advancing scientific research.
Founded in 1999, ASIIN is a prestigious German accreditation agency that has evaluated and certified more than 6,500 academic programs across nearly 70 countries. In Vietnam, ASIIN’s accreditation activities have been officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training since June 16, 2021, under Decision No. 1941/QĐ-BGDĐT.
ASIIN’s evaluation process is based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including program learning outcomes, curriculum content and structure, faculty quality, internal quality assurance systems, infrastructure conditions, and the level of engagement among universities, students, and employers. During the assessment process, ASIIN’s international experts highly recognized the Faculty’s achievements, its strong commitment to continuous improvement, and provided strategic recommendations for further development toward global integration.
Achieving ASIIN international accreditation not only reaffirms the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics reputation and standing in Vietnam but also creates new opportunities for international learning, research, and collaboration for both faculty and students, contributing to the global recognition of its academic excellence.
