November 8, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thien Thanh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Sciences, VNU-HCM welcomed and worked with a delegation of professors from the Korean Physical Society led by Prof. Suklyun Hong, Sejong University, Korea. Joining the delegation from Korea were Prof. SungLae Cho, Prof. Shinuk Cho, and Dr. Tran Hong Nhan from the University of Ulsan - Korea. Also participating in the discussion were scientists from the University of Sciences, VNU-HCM, including Prof. Tran Quang Trung, Prof. Phan Bach Thang, Prof. Tran Thi Thanh. Van, Dr. Do Duc Cuong, Dr. Trinh Thi Ly, and Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Trung Hoa. At the meeting, Prof. Suklyun Hong introduced the main research activities of the Korean Physical Physics Society and at Sejong University, Korea. Dr. Tran Hong Nhan also had a brief introduction to research staff and main research activities at the Department of Physics, University of Ulsan. Representing the University of Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Trung also introduced the recent scientific achievements of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Sciences, VNU-HCM in the field of semiconductor physics, condensed matter physics, … The delegations of the two countries had an open discussion session, aiming at expanding the cooperation in outstanding research areas such as semiconductor physics and integrated circuit (IC) design... expanding the student and researcher exhange programs to cooperate in research projects/programs based on the cooperation framework between the two countries and common interests.
