As part of its strategic efforts to enhance training quality in line with international standards and to meet the increasing demands of the labor market, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Science, VNU-HCM, has successfully conducted accreditation sessions for three English-enhanced academic programs: Electronic Physics and Informatics Technology, Oceanography, and Medical Physics.
The accreditation process was carried out rigorously with the participation of experienced experts, scientists, and academic staff. The review committees conducted comprehensive evaluations of each program across multiple key dimensions, including curriculum structure, expected learning outcomes in both academic knowledge and English proficiency, the proportion of courses delivered in English, as well as quality assurance conditions such as faculty qualifications, learning resources, and facilities supporting teaching and research.
Constructive and in-depth feedback from the committees has played a crucial role in refining the programs and guiding their development toward international standards. The integration of English as a medium of instruction is expected to significantly enhance students’ language proficiency, their ability to access global knowledge, and their readiness for international integration, while also addressing the growing demand for highly qualified human resources in science and technology fields.
All three programs have been formally approved and are scheduled to commence student enrollment in the 2026-2027 academic year. This milestone marks a significant step in the Faculty’s development roadmap, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving educational quality, strengthening the linkage between academia and industry, and progressively affirming its position within the higher education system in accordance with international benchmarks.
In the coming years, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics will continue to advance curriculum innovation, expand international collaborations, and strengthen partnerships with industry. These efforts aim to provide a modern, flexible learning environment that effectively meets the evolving needs of society in the era of globalization and technological transformation.
