Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics Strengthens Collaboration with Cho Ray Hospital in Medical Physics Education and Research

To strengthen the partnership between academia and clinical practice while enhancing the quality of education, scientific research, and human resource development in Medical Physics, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics recently held a working meeting with Cho Ray Hospital to discuss and establish strategic directions for future collaboration.

During the meeting, representatives of both institutions exchanged views on several key areas of cooperation. Foremost among these was the agreement to expand collaboration in providing clinical internships for undergraduate students majoring in Medical Physics at Cho Ray Hospital. This initiative will offer students valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a professional healthcare environment, deepen their practical knowledge, and develop essential professional competencies at one of Vietnam's leading tertiary referral hospitals.

The two institutions also agreed to jointly supervise undergraduate capstone projects and master's theses in the field of Medical Physics. By combining the academic expertise of the Faculty with the extensive clinical experience of specialists at Cho Ray Hospital, this collaboration is expected to enhance the quality, relevance, and practical impact of student research.

In the area of scientific research, both parties discussed opportunities to jointly undertake research projects in Medical Physics and radiation applications in healthcare. This collaborative effort aims to leverage the strengths of each institution, foster practice-oriented research, and generate meaningful scientific outcomes that contribute to improving healthcare services and patient care.

Beyond these immediate priorities, the Faculty and the Hospital explored long-term collaboration in education, research, professional development, and other academic and technical activities. These shared commitments will provide a solid foundation for a sustainable partnership, contributing to the development of a highly qualified Medical Physics workforce capable of meeting the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.

The meeting marks an important milestone in strengthening the partnership between the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics and Cho Ray Hospital. It opens up new opportunities for students and postgraduate learners to engage in clinical training, research, and professional development, while further promoting scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange between the University and one of Vietnam's foremost healthcare institutions.
