INTERNATIONAL ASIIN ACCREDITATION FOR THREE ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AT THE FACULTY OF PHYSICS & ENGINEERING PHYSICS, HCMUS

On May 28 & 29, 2025, the Faculty of Physics & Engineering Physics, University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUS) successfully hosted the official evaluation sessions with experts from ASIIN for three of its academic programs:

  • Nuclear Engineering

  • Medical Physics

  • Electronic Physics Technology and Informatics

These three programs represent core strengths of the Faculty, emphasizing academic excellence, interdisciplinary research, and practical applications in fields ranging from energy and healthcare to electronics and information technology.

During the two-day evaluation, the ASIIN expert panel conducted in-depth meetings with the University’s Board of Rectors, Faculty leadership, academic staff, current students, alumni, and industry partners. The site visit included comprehensive interviews and a thorough review of documented evidence, carried out in a transparent and rigorous manner in line with international accreditation standards.

The ASIIN delegation highly commended the Faculty’s educational quality, the expertise and dedication of the teaching staff, the modern infrastructure, and especially the strong linkage between education, research, and real-world application. The Faculty was also recognized for its openness to feedback, its commitment to continuous improvement, and its aspiration to align with global academic standards.

ASIIN is a prestigious accreditation agency based in Germany and a full member of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Its evaluations are widely recognized across Europe and internationally, especially in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, and information technology.

This accreditation process marks an important milestone in the Faculty’s strategic efforts to enhance educational quality and international integration. It reflects the Faculty's unwavering dedication to building a professional, student-centered, and globally connected academic environment - where learners are empowered to grow and contribute to society.
