Working with the Representative of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital

On the morning of November 10, 2022, the leaders of the University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCM had a direct meeting with the representative of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital (Oncology Hospital) at the new facility of the hospital in Thu Duc city. 

 

During the meeting, the representative of Oncology Hospital, Dr. BS. Dang Huy Quoc Thinh - Vice President and Representative of the University Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Minh Triet - Vice President, was very pleased with the effective cooperation of the two sides in the past time as well as exchanged new directions of cooperation not only in the field of Medical Physics but also in the field of Technology. Information technology, especially AI (Artificial Intelligence).

 

The school reports certain results at the initial stage of cooperation as follows:

- There are about 40 thesis topics and 06 graduate thesis topics in Medical Physics done at Oncology Hospital;

- Oncology Hospital is in charge of training a number of subjects related to oncology for students of the University;

- Every year, the school sends students to BVUB to practice;

- A number of BVUB's doctors are granted visiting staff card codes of the University...

 

In addition, Doctor Dang Huy Quoc Thinh also wishes to have more opportunities to cooperate in the field of Molecular Biology under the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biotechnology of the University. On the school side, Mr. Tran Minh Triet also proposed a number of information technology applications in case management as well as supporting patients to visit the hospital.

 

After that, the school's delegation was invited to receive the Office of the University of Natural Sciences located at the Oncology Hospital (Thu Duc City campus) and visit some parts of the Department of Radiation Therapy to exchange. some more problems related to medical physics.
