NHÓM PHO BROTH ĐƯỢC CHỌN VÀO VÒNG GLOBAL JUDGING CỦA CUỘC THI NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGE 2024

A group called Pho Broth, consisting of 5 students from the University of Sciences (including 4 students from the Faculty of Physics - Engineering Physics, 1 student from the Faculty of Information Technology) and 1 student from the International University, has been chosen as one of the two representatives of Vietnam to participate in the global judging round of the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024. The group's UVita project proposes an innovative solution to protect human health from the negative effects of UV rays, an urgent issue in today's era.

About NASA Space Apps Challenge:

The NASA Space Apps Challenge is the world's largest global hackathon organized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The Earth Science competition seeks solutions to the challenges that humans face on Earth and in space. In 2024, the competition took place with the theme “The Sun Touches Everything”, attracting more than 93,500 contestants from 163 countries and territories, solving 20 challenges using the data warehouse of NASA and 15 other space partners.

Impressive achievements at the Ho Chi Minh City Qualifying Round (Local Event):

The qualifying round of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 took place in Ho Chi Minh City on October 5-6, 2024, recording outstanding achievements:

- More than 95 contestants registered to participate

- More than 50 contestants officially competed

- More than 12 domestic and foreign experts and mentors accompanied and supported the contestants throughout the 2 days of competition.

The Pho Broth team has demonstrated its creativity and outstanding efforts in bringing the UVita project to the global competition. With a spirit of innovation and determination, the team promises to continue to strive toward conquering the great challenges of the competition.
