On September 22, 2026, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics hosted an academic seminar entitled “What Constitutes a Gravitational Wave in an Expanding Universe?”, featuring Prof. Yi-Zen Chu from National Central University (NCU), Taiwan. The seminar provided an opportunity for faculty members, students, and graduate students to engage with advanced topics in modern physics and exchange perspectives with an international scholar whose research interests encompass gravitational waves, cosmology, quantum field theory, and particle physics.

Centered on the question “What Constitutes a Gravitational Wave in an Expanding Universe?”, the seminar addressed fundamental issues concerning the nature of gravitational waves in the context of an expanding universe.
