Registration notice for the Physics Department, Batch 2021 (Second Round).

Announcement

Subject: Registration for the Specialization, Batch 2021 (Round 2)

The Department of Physics and Engineering Physics announces to the students of the Physics major, Batch 2021, and Batch 2020 who have not yet specialized about the registration for the specialization in Round 2 as follows:

1. Students can register for the specialization by filling out the online specialization registration form: [https://forms.gle/1tLy6WcSiwwYMbZM9](https://forms.gle/1tLy6WcSiwwYMbZM9).

2. Deadline for form submission: Students can register online from the date of this announcement until 4:00 PM on February 22, 2024.

3. Students do not need to submit their academic transcripts. The department's administration will obtain academic results from the Training Department once the complete results of the Semester I, Academic Year 2023-2024 are available. Specialization examination results will be announced on the department's website and sent to students via email before February 26, 2024. If the number of students registering for specializations is below the required class opening threshold (20 students/class), the department will not open corresponding specialization classes, and students will have to wait until July 2024 to register for specializations along with Batch 2022. After the approval of Round 2 specialization, if there are specializations opened, the department will schedule classes and allow students to register for additional courses.

4. Students should choose one of the seven specializations with three preferences. If the conditions for the first preference are not met, students will study the specialization in the second or third preference (if eligible). The department will consider the average academic score, accumulated credit hours until the end of Semester I, Academic Year 2023-2024 for selection.

5. If students have an average academic score <5.0 or owe more than 15 credit hours, they will not be considered for specialization in this round. Students must retake the owed courses and will be considered for specialization in the July 2024 round along with Batch 2022.

Note:

- Students must carefully consider their specialization choices, as the department will not entertain cases of changing specializations after the official decision.

For any inquiries, students can contact the Department Administration (Mr. Nhẫn) for clarification via phone: 0919786248 or Email: khoavatly@hcmus.edu.vn
