The Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics, University of Science, VNU-HCM is pleased to announce the Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher Program for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Funded by the U.S. Congress, the Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher Program provides up to five fully funded scholarships each year for Ph.D. candidates in Science and Technology currently studying at institutions in Vietnam. The program allows scholars to conduct research at a U.S. university for a period of six to ten months during the 2026-2027 academic year.
This program aims to strengthen scientific and technological collaboration between Vietnam and the United States, offering scholars access to world-class academic resources and opportunities to work alongside leading experts in their respective fields.
1. Eligibility and benefits
Eligibility:
+ Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates in Science and Technology currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Vietnam.
+ Research proposals must align with available research programs at U.S. institutions.
+ Strong English proficiency is required to meet academic and communication standards in an international research environment.
Benefits:
+ Full scholarship coverage, including: round-trip airfare between Vietnam and the United States, living allowance for the duration of the research period, health insurance as per program regulations, research support funds and other related expenses.
+ Access to state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, and academic resources at U.S. universities.

2. Application process
