To select students with strong academic potential and a passion for Physics to join the 2026 Student Physics Olympiad Team of the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics will organize the HCMUS 2026 Student Physics Olympiad Team Selection Examination.
The selected team will be prepared to represent the University of Science, VNU-HCM at the 28th National Student Physics Olympiad (SPhO 2026).
The Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics is pleased to announce the following information regarding the selection examination:
1. Eligibility: The selection examination is open to all students currently enrolled at the University of Science, VNU-HCM.
Note: Students who have previously received awards at national or international Physics Olympiad competitions are not eligible to participate in the selection examination.
2. Examination Format: Written examination.
3. Date and Venue
Time: 8:30 AM, Sunday, October 11, 2026
Venue: 227 Nguyen Van Cu Street, Cho Quan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City
The specific examination room will be announced at a later date.
4. Registration
Students may register for the selection examination through either of the following methods:

On-site registration: Students may register at the examination venue immediately before the examination begins.
5. 28th National Student Physics Olympiad (SPhO 2026)
The selected team will undergo training and preparation for participation in the 28th National Student Physics Olympiad (SPhO 2026), which is scheduled to take place from December 17 to December 20, 2026, at Vinh University, 182 Le Duan Street, Truong Vinh Ward, Nghe An Province, Vietnam.
The competition will provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their academic abilities, further develop their expertise in Physics, and engage in academic exchange with outstanding Physics students from universities across Vietnam.
