HO CHI MINH CITY ISSUED A MICROCHIP DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY UNTIL 2030

According to Vnexpress newspaper, The program to develop the microchip industry in the High-Tech Park for the period 2025 - 2030 was approved by the Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Vo Van Hoan, on September 6.

According to the strategy, Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park is oriented by the city government to become a research and development center for the national semiconductor chip industry by 2030, with a strong semiconductor chip ecosystem.

To achieve this goal, the city will establish the Center of Excellence for Semiconductor Circuits, MEMS (microelectromechanical) sensors, and the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Advanced Technology and Innovation. These two units will operate effectively, creating a common foundation to exploit and apply research results to form commercial products with high scientific content, contributing to promoting the strengths of "three" (state - school - business) with Ho Chi Minh City's development in the field of semiconductor chips.
