Exploring Academic and Research Environments with Nguyen An Ninh High School Students

On the morning of April 18, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Science, VNU-HCM, organized a welcoming and exchange program for students from Nguyen An Ninh High School. This activity is part of a broader series of career orientation and community engagement initiatives, aimed at providing high school students with early exposure to the university environment, thereby helping them shape their academic and career directions more clearly.

Within the program, students were introduced to the Faculty’s academic offerings in physics and engineering physics, including specialized tracks, career prospects, and the growing demand for high-quality human resources in the context of rapid advancements in science and technology. Representatives of the Faculty also shared insights into its training capacity, academic staff, facilities, and key teaching and research activities currently being implemented.

A highlight of the program was the guided tour of the Faculty’s modern laboratory system. Students had the opportunity to observe research equipment firsthand, explore experimental models, and learn about practical applications of physics in various fields such as materials technology, electronics, biomedical engineering, and environmental science. These hands-on experiences not only provided a clearer picture of academic and research activities at the university level but also sparked curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific exploration.

The program aims to enhance awareness and interest among students, parents, and the broader community in advanced fields of science and technology, while also inspiring learning, research engagement, and creativity among younger generations. Through direct interactions with faculty members and current students, participants were able to ask questions, share their interests, and receive guidance on choosing academic majors and planning their future career paths.
