On the morning of October 21, at the Nguyen Van Cu campus, the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Cooperation with East Sea Electrical Automation Technology Co., Ltd (ESTEC). The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the University and enterprises in the fields of science, technology, and engineering.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Triet – Vice President of the University; Dr. Vo Hong Hai – Deputy Head of the Office of External Relations; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Tuan – Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics; Dr. Lam Quang Vu – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, along with faculty members from the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics.
From ESTEC, attendees included Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – Director, Ms. Vuong Thuy Duong – Deputy Director of Operations, Mr. Vu Tien Hung – Business Director, and Ms. Bach Thi Thuy Hang – Head of Human Resources and Administration.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Triet emphasized: “The University of Science always prioritizes expanding partnerships with enterprises to bridge academic training with practical application, enabling students to gain real-world experience in a professional environment, thereby enhancing their applied skills and career opportunities after graduation.”

Representing ESTEC, Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – Director, expressed his honor in collaborating with the University of Science and highlighted the importance of cooperation between businesses and higher education institutions in developing a high-quality workforce that meets the demands of industrialization and digital transformation.
Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang, Director of ESTEC, shared the company’s strategic vision for long-term cooperation with the University.
According to the signed agreement, both parties will establish a comprehensive partnership in the areas of training, research, technology transfer, and recruitment. Specifically, the cooperation includes:
- Supporting students in internships, graduation projects, and participation in applied research topics;
- Organizing technical seminars, career orientation programs, and scholarship sponsorships;
- Promoting applied research and technology transfer in automation, digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT);
- Collaborating on communication activities and graduate job placement programs that align with ESTEC’s recruitment needs.
Representatives from the University of Science, VNU-HCM and ESTEC performed the official signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement.
The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for students, lecturers, and researchers of the University while contributing to the development of a high-quality science and technology workforce to serve the nation’s socio-economic growth in the digital transformation era.
