Working Session and Evaluation

During the meeting, **Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Trung** – representative of the proposing unit – presented the proposal for the Doctoral Program in Semiconductor Technology, outlining its objectives, curriculum content, faculty, facilities, and research and application development direction.

The Council engaged in extensive discussion and **highly appreciated the necessity, feasibility, and strategic significance** of opening the Doctoral Program in Semiconductor Technology – a critical field that plays a key role in the national science and technology development strategy, especially as Vietnam aims for self-reliance and the development of the microchip and semiconductor industry.

The accreditation session concluded successfully, marking an important milestone that affirms the research and postgraduate training capacity of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics in particular, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Science – VNU-HCM in general. This aligns with the goal of becoming a pioneering unit in training high-level human resources for Vietnam's semiconductor industry.
