On May 28 and 29, 2025, the Department of Physics – Engineering Physics, University of Science – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, collaborated with a team of experts from the international accreditation organization ASIIN to conduct the official evaluation of three academic programs:

Nuclear Engineering

Medical Physics
-
Electronic Physics and Informatics Technology
These are flagship academic programs with strong expertise, closely linked to scientific research activities and oriented toward interdisciplinary applications. They contribute to the training of high-quality human resources for the country in fields ranging from energy and medicine to information technology and electronics.

As part of the accreditation program, the ASIIN expert delegation conducted in-depth working sessions with the University’s Board of Management, Faculty leadership, lecturers, students, alumni, and representatives from partner enterprises. The interviews and evidence reviews were carried out objectively and rigorously, in full compliance with international accreditation procedures. These sessions provided the Faculty with an opportunity to clearly present the strengths and sustainable development of its academic programs.
ASIIN representatives highly commended the comprehensive quality of the three programs — from curriculum content, modern teaching methods, and faculty expertise to facilities and infrastructure, as well as the effective integration of education, research, technology transfer, and labor market needs. The evaluation team also gave positive feedback on the Faculty’s openness to feedback, its proactive approach to continuous improvement, and its aspiration for international integration.

ASIIN is one of Europe’s leading quality assurance organizations and a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). It is widely recognized globally and stands as a pioneer in accrediting academic programs in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, and technology.
The participation of three academic programs from the Department of Physics – Engineering Physics in the ASIIN international accreditation process marks a significant milestone in the Faculty’s strategy to enhance the quality of education and research. More importantly, it demonstrates the Faculty’s strong commitment to building a modern, professional, and globally integrated educational environment—one in which students can develop comprehensively and confidently reach out to the world.
